I am a Fairhope native. I was born in Fairhope and am so blessed to have lived here almost my entire life. My husband Jim and I had ten children. Four were homemade, five internationally adopted, and one who came to spend the night and lived with us until she left for college. God called me to adoption in 1973. We completed our first two adoptions from Vietnam in 1975 shortly after Vietnam fell. After learning so much about children who would probably never know the joy of a forever family, I began doing relief work in South America and India. It was during this time that God called me to step out and open an agency. I thank Him, that He allowed me this opportunity to help couples and single moms build their families through adoption. I now have over 2,000 beloved grandchildren through Children of the World. To God be the Glory!
I began completing home studies for Children of the World over 12 years ago and became Executive Director in 2009. I am constantly impressed with the dedication of this staff and the quality of adoptive parents that we have the privilege to assist in their adoption journeys. In our spare time, my husband of 47 years, Rodney, and I enjoy our two grandchildren, gardening and rock hounding all over this great country.
I am the oldest daughter of Pat Lee, Children of the World’s founder. I am married, have two children, and two grandchildren. My entire life has revolved around adoption. Our large international family has always been in the spotlight in our small Fairhope community, educating thousands about the true love of family. I have worked with Children of the World since 1999 with an amazing front row seat to the many miracles that God has accomplished through adoptive families and our agency.
My husband Alan and I have lived in the Fairhope community for nearly three decades with our three daughters. Children of the World has been an important part of my family's life for many years. In 1998 and again in 2002, we felt the calling to adopt daughters #2 and #3 from China through Children of the World. We found that Children of the World is not just a placing agency, but one that truly cares about children and their forever family for years to come! Through this connection, I have been able to join the staff and I am loving the opportunity to work with adoptive families to help bring their children home.

Having long been a part of the Children of the World family, it was an honor to be considered for a role in Pat Lee's legacy. My two sisters were adopted from China through Children of the World. Now I have the privilege of being directly involved with other children finding their forever families and it is a joy! My husband, Will, and I were both raised in Fairhope and continue to live on the Eastern Shore with our four children.
It has always been a dream of mine to work with children, which is why I left the finance world 14 years ago to study psychology and begin my second career in the mental health field. I earned my B.S in Psychology and am certified in crisis intervention counseling, case management, and supported employment for those with disabilities. My passion for helping families has never wavered, and I am excited to continue that work in the field of adoption. I married Daniel nearly 20 years ago, and we have 3 amazing children. Through his military background and our volunteer work, my family and I are dedicated to serving our community and consider it a true blessing to now be a part of helping bring together forever families.
I recently started my journey with Children of the World as an Adoption Coordinator. I have been married to my husband for 9 years and we have a 5-year-old son, Gavin, and a 3-year-old daughter, Kendra. Children of the World is an amazing organization who believes wholeheartedly that EVERY child deserves a loving home! It is truly amazing to see miracles happen every day!
My husband Trent and I moved to this area in 2015 and we were in the process of adopting a sibling pair from Haiti. I contacted Children of the World for a home study update and have been working here ever since! I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master’s in Social Work in 2009. I have my LMSW and I am currently working towards my LICSW. I have worked in a pediatric hospital and a children’s advocacy center, but always had the desire to work for an adoption agency. I believe EVERY child deserves a safe, stable, and nurturing family and home, so I am passionate about the mission of Children of the World. I count it a privilege to serve children and their families!
