Children of the World is bringing the Cost of Poverty Experience (COPE) event to Baldwin County
date: Friday, April 24, 2020
time: 12:30 - 3:00 PM
location: Prodisee Pantry, 9315 Spanish Fort Blvd, Spanish Fort, AL
This is a FREE event that offers an opportunity to gain a glimpse into the lives of families in our community that face poverty every day. COPE gives participants and volunteers an opportunity to experience simulated poverty firsthand through the eyes of real families. The experiential nature of this training helps churches, communities, and individuals more deeply understand the complexities of poverty.
Join us at Prodisee Pantry for an afternoon of learning and engaging with other people in our community committed to serving children and families in crisis more actively and effectively. There will be light refreshments for you to enjoy. The live simulation will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete. Volunteer opportunities are available. Volunteers must be present for a 1.5-hour training prior to the event. Lunch will be provided to volunteers to show our appreciation for helping make this event a success.
If you would like to attend as a participant or as a volunteer, please Register for a FREE Ticket.
