Children of the World’s work in India began when God called Pat Lee to work there in 1978. She began with simply collecting supplies for orphans, making blankets and tiny diapers for preemies.

From there Children of the World began and her work grew into various projects like:

  • facility renovations,
  • sponsorships for orphans and widows,
  • providing and installing water purification systems,
  • conducting eye clinics,
  • working within a leper colony, and much more.
After the tsunami hit in 2004, Children of the World helped:
  • provide food for one of the devastated villages,
  • helped with providing boats and nets use for their livelihood,
  • assisted in building a clinic to provide medical care
Our goal for India is to bring children to the US for medical treatment, place orphans in loving, forever homes and share the love of Jesus Christ with the people of India.

Our work presently is in Kolkata, Chennai and the surrounding villages but our plan to expand our mission to other areas of India.
